We use cookies to make the Synap Editor website work and, with your consent, to understand how it is used and to deliver relevant communications.

Cookie Categories

  • Necessary : Required for the site to function (e.g., session management, storing your cookie preferences). Cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics : Used with your consent to understand how visitors use the site. We use Google Analytics 4 for this purpose; that data is aggregated and anonymous. With your consent we also store on your device, for up to 30 days, the marketing channel that brought you to the site (for example linkedin), read from tracking parameters in the link you followed. If you create an account, that channel is saved with your account so we can see which channels lead to sign-ups, and it is removed from your device. Withdrawing analytics consent deletes it from your device immediately. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Marketing : Used with your consent for two purposes: (1) identifying registered users to send product updates and email communications (eDM), and (2) measuring the performance of our advertising through Google Ads conversion tracking. Data used for eDM communications is stored internally. Data used for conversion tracking is shared with Google. See Google's Privacy Policy.

What We Store on Your Device

The tables below list what we store on your device and why. Some entries are not cookies but browser storage (local storage or session storage); we list them here because the same rules apply. Retention is the value our code sets, or the provider's documented default for third-party cookies.

se_oauth_intent (local storage)Marks that a Google sign-in started, so it is counted onceDeleted as soon as it is read; if it is never read, 5 minutes later on your next visitSynapsoft

The three se_ sign-in entries are written while you sign in or sign up, whether or not you accepted analytics, and withdrawing analytics consent does not remove them. They hold only a timestamp or your account identifier. Of the entries above, se_attribution is the one we delete the moment you withdraw analytics consent.
